About Use-Case Specific Components
Learn about the different Aggie UX components designed to handle specialized types of content.

Use-case specific components are designed to handle specific types of content in visually interesting ways.
- Accordion Group: An accordion group is a vertically stacked collection of multiple accordions (headers that can be clicked to reveal or hide content associated with them). You can use an overarching heading and description to contextualize content.
- Alert: An alert is a component that displays a supplementary piece of information, often in the form of validation messages (success, warning, and error) or help text (info). Alerts may also display time sensitive information.
- Button Slab: A button slab features a collection of 2 to 5 buttons with an overarching heading and optional description and icon. The buttons can either be all the same or have alternate styles for emphasis.
- Collection Feature: A collection feature has a heading and small description area next to a larger “collection” area where one of the following options is displayed: icon list, link list, description list, or factoids (default or inline layout).
- Contact Card Collection: A contact card collection is a set of contact cards arranged in a collection with an optional overarching heading and description, effectively creating a static directory.
- Description List Collection: A description list is a collection of terms and their respective descriptions. These can be used to define common words, or even show the value of common labels such as names, titles, and contact information.
- Factoid Collection: A factoid collection is made of several visually interesting factoids, such as statistics or rankings. You can use a factoid collection heading and description to contextualize content.
- Glossary: A glossary is an alphabetical list of terms and their definitions. A glossary has an alphabetical navigation at the top that links to the appropriate section.
- Icon List Collection: An icon list collection is made up of 1 to 4 lists with icons as bullets. You can use an icon list collection heading and description to contextualize content.
- Link List Collection: A link list collection is made up of 1–4 lists with linked list items. You can use a section heading and description to contextualize content. Links in a link list collection can have descriptions and nested links.
- Link Slab: A link slab features a list of links with an overarching heading and optional description and button. Links in a link slab cannot have descriptions or nested links.
- Publication Accordion Group: Publication accordion group is a collection of specialized accordions designed to house information about scholarly publications.
- Q&A Collections: A Q&A collection has multiple question and answer pairs. You can use an overarching heading and description to contextualize content.
- Standalone Block Quote: Standalone block quotes are for quotations with citations that can be used outside of custom content.
- Tables: Basic tables allow data to be arranged in columns and rows that are accessible to screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Testimonial Collection: A testimonial collection contains multiple quotes, each from an identified source. You can use an overarching heading and description to contextualize content.
