User Groups in Cascade
Learn how groups grant permissions on a site-by-site basis to multiple users at a time based on role.

Groups are how different permission levels are granted to each user on a site-by-site basis. Groups allow multiple users to have the same permissions.
Default Groups
When Aggie UX Cascade sites are created, three different groups are created by default:
- AUX (shortened site name) Admin
- AUX (shortened site name) Publisher
- AUX (shortened site name) Contributor
Each group has the permissions set for their respective role.
Creating New Groups
If you need additional groups created beyond what are currently available for a specific site, email cascade@tamu.edu with Jeremy Tarpley (jeremytarpley@tamu.edu) cc’d with the desired group role (site admin, publisher or contributor).
If custom permissions are desired for a specific group, such as requiring the use of workflows, please include that information in your email.
